SOL is founded on the principle that this world’s ideals have always come second to our own vices, and that to pretend otherwise is to be compliant in a game that was rigged from the start. At SOL, our team members choose not to get lost in what the world is today, but what it can become.

Our Story

Our Mission

In 2018, Sol was no more than a single-student operation. Our journey started when a prospective medical student at the University of Southern California reached out to the school’s pre-health advising office to propose the start of a freelance tutoring operation. This service offered free private tutoring to ensure that all students, regardless of their financial means, could access personalized instruction for biology, chemistry, physics, and the MCAT that otherwise would have cost them hundreds and thousands of dollars. That was the start of a vision that has been formalized into something greater today.

More than 3 years later, Sol has grown into a medical admissions consulting group. What has never changed is our philosophy: that the core mission of mentorship is in service to our students – not to turn a profit. That’s why at Sol, our consultants put the successes of our applicants first. Our team members are keenly aware that for many students, the outcomes of their applications rarely have anything to do with their actual potential as aspiring physicians, but more so reflect upon parts of their lives that cannot be controlled. We strive to provide top-notch coaching and consulting to those who need it when they need it, no matter the cost.
