Wake Forest School of Medicine
Hi! I'm Claire Hoffman and I'm an incoming medical student at the Wake Forest School of Medicine from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I'm currently finishing my undergrad at Harvard, where I study Neuroscience on the Neurobiology track with an English Secondary, Class of 2021! On campus, I'm on the Harvard Cheerleading Team, I write for Flyby Blog, I volunteer with Project Sunshine, and I'm the president of the Harvard Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Immunology Club, as well as a few other things. I also worked in the Ramanathan Lab, where I helped to connect the immune system and neural network of C.elegans, and held several other campus jobs, including as a Tour Guide for Admissions. Outside of that, I love coffee and baking, Grey's Anatomy, music (especially pop and alternative), and HIIT workouts! I applied to medical school this past year using the AMCAS system and consider my strengths to be curating school lists, maximizing essay impacts, and most importantly, interview preparation. As for medicine, I don't yet know what specialty will call to me, but I'm very interested in working and volunteering with underrepresented and underserved patient populations, as well as fostering mentorship for underrepresented students in medicine. I'm excited to get to know you, so please feel free to reach out!
