Michelle Chiu

Tufts University School of Medicine

In college, Michelle was primarily involved in the Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society, Alpha Phi Omega, and the Women's Pre-Health Society. After discovering the menstrual product shortages faced by women in homeless shelters, she spearheaded JHU's first-ever menstrual products drive, donating over 500 pallets to homeless shelters in Baltimore. Michelle also spent extensive time volunteering with the pediatric unit of a local hospital. Working with kids to develop their cognitive abilities through therapeutic play, Michelle fell in love with pediatric neurology, and saw first-hand the importance of laughter and kindness in the healing process. This experience solidified her dream to work in a pediatric-centric medical profession in the future. She also served as the Executive director of a hip-hop dance team, and loves to freestyle and learn Tiktok dance videos in her free time!

Michelle has extensive experience proofreading essays and providing comprehensive written feedback, aiding high schoolers, undergraduates, and graduate students achieve success in their respective admissions and scholarship applications. She will be attending Tufts School of Medicine this fall and is excited to share her experience and resources through Sol.
